Your profile introduces you through your identity, published work, and recognition. Your account also gives you private places to save useful content and adjust how Visual Space works for you.
Start With What You Want To Do
Your Public Introduction
Open the account panel from your avatar and choose Profile. On your own page, you can edit your name, job title, tagline, biography, skills, avatar, and banner directly. Text saves after you pause typing; image changes let you crop the picture before uploading.
A public profile brings the person’s introduction and recognition together.
Other visitors see your completed information without the editing controls. A new profile can begin with only basic identity, so you can build it gradually. Build your public profile takes you from that starting point to a finished introduction.
Your published work appears in separate content tabs when there is something to show. Each tab keeps the member's work in newest-first order. Drafts do not become public merely because they belong to the profile owner.
On wide screens, skills and earned Medals sit beside the main content. On narrow screens, they join the same scrolling page, making the profile usable without a separate sidebar.
Recognition In Context
Medals are rare lasting recognition of a person. A profile shows Medals from the current space context, so the same member can have a different showcase when reached from another community. Select a Medal to read its certificate and the contribution it recognizes.
Awards serve a different purpose: they are quick item-level appreciation. Your private My awards and My medals pages hold personal histories. The profile recognition guide explains how those histories relate to the public showcase.
Keep Useful Content For Later
View Later saves a reference to something you want to revisit. Start with the permanent View Later collection, then add named collections for projects, reading, or ideas.
Open View Later to return to saved content without searching for it again.
Saving a reference does not move the original or grant new access to it. Removing a bookmark leaves the source untouched. If you want your own working copy instead, use My Docs.
Personal Settings And Account Tools
Choose Preferences in the account panel to open Account Settings. User preferences includes Dark Mode, Promotional email, and the optional Lexi tool. Other destinations cover notifications, direct-message blocks, recognition history, password security, subscriptions, and creator studios.
Preferences changes personal options; the neighboring pages handle notifications, security and subscriptions.
These choices are personal. They do not change the settings of a space you belong to, and editing them does not replace the public information on your profile. Start with Preferences for everyday choices or Account Settings to find a specific account task.
Space owners managing a community restriction can follow Community bans. A community ban is separate from an individual's direct-message block list.
Common Questions
Can other members change my profile?
Only the signed-in owner receives its editing controls. Other members see the public result.
Will visitors see my saved collections or private preferences?
No. View Later and account preferences are personal tools, separate from the public profile.
Why is one of the content tabs missing?
Tabs normally appear when the member has published content in that category. A direct link to an empty category can still open its empty state.
Where do I change my profile photo?
Open your own Profile. Account Settings manages personal choices and account tasks; the profile page owns your visible introduction.
