My Docs is your private file library. Keep notes, uploaded references, folders, and supported app projects there when they belong to you rather than a community.
Your personal workspace is only for you. It cannot be joined, shared, made public, or transferred to someone else. Its folders inherit that privacy.
Browse Beside Your Current Work
Open My Docs from the right toolbar to browse your personal library while another space stays open. Expand its areas and folders, open a document, or use Refresh from the panel menu to reload the list.
The panel and the full workspace serve different moments:
Browsing the panel does not change the active creation destination. If a community is still open, its normal app creation actions continue to use that community. Enter personal Docs first when the new work should be private.
Keep An Independent Copy
Drag readable material onto an accepted Copy into My Docs destination to keep a separate personal copy. Supported sources include uploaded files, folders, articles, app documents, and chat attachments. Expand a personal folder when the copy belongs below the root.
This is a copy, not a move or a live connection to the original. The community source remains in place, and editing the personal result does not update it. An app document needs support for copying its actual content; a visible card alone does not guarantee that support.
A folder copy includes its supported readable contents. If a copy stops partway through, inspect the destination before retrying: some material may already have arrived. For the full sequence, follow Keep a personal copy.
Choose Copy Or View Later
Use View Later when you want to return to the shared item and see its current state. Use a personal copy when you need a separate version for your own work.
These choices have different consequences. A saved reference depends on continued source access. A copied file uses personal storage and develops independently; it is not automatically kept in sync as the original changes.
Grow Your Library Gradually
You can keep documents directly at the personal root and add folders as useful collections emerge. Larger projects can use the personal workspace's areas. App creation still follows the locations supported by that app, so do not assume every editor creates directly inside any selected folder.
The usage display compares your personal storage with its current capacity. Storage unavailable means the figure could not be retrieved; it does not mean the library is empty or unlimited. Use Refresh or Retry when the panel cannot load its contents.
Common Questions
Can a community member open my personal files?
No. Your personal workspace remains owner-only, even when its panel is open beside a community.
Does copying a shared project give me shared editing access?
No. A supported copy is your own independent document. Collaboration on the original uses that app's access controls.
Where do I create a new personal project?
Open personal Docs first, then enter the app and use its creation flow in that personal context.
Why did a copied folder not finish?
Some source content may be unreadable, unsupported, or unable to copy. Check the error and the destination before retrying; do not assume an all-or-nothing result.
