Account Settings is the private navigation home for choices tied to your signed-in account. It brings preferences, safety, security, recognition history, and paid access into one place, even when those subjects have their own dedicated pages elsewhere in Visual Space.
It is not the profile editor. Change your display name, job title, tagline, biography, skills, avatar, and banner on your own profile page. Public Profiles explains what other people can see and how owners edit that public information.
Find The Right Account Page
Open Account Settings when you need to make a personal choice or review account-level information. The navigation currently includes:
On a smaller screen, choosing a destination closes the navigation panel so the selected page has room to open. A neutral settings surface may remain visible briefly while a feature-owned page loads.
Account Settings keeps private account destinations together while the selected page presents only its own focused controls.
Keep Your Public And Private Choices Separate
Your profile introduces you to other people. Account Settings controls your own experience and keeps personal histories and security actions away from that public presentation.
Use your profile when you want to change how you appear. Use Account Settings when you want to change the theme, decide which supported updates may reach your notification center, manage direct-message blocks, review recognition history, request a password change, or inspect paid access.
This boundary also explains why Account Settings can feel broader than one ordinary form. It acts as a dependable private doorway to several account-level areas without turning all of those areas into profile details.
Choose A Theme That Stays With You
The active preference under User preferences is Dark Mode. Switching it changes the app between light and dark themes immediately.
Visual Space remembers the choice on your device so a returning visit can begin with the familiar theme instead of waiting for account information to load. For a signed-in user, the theme is also saved as an account preference. Opening Account Settings reconciles the remembered device choice with that saved preference quietly, avoiding an unnecessary visible theme change when both already agree.
Manage Attention And Direct-Message Safety
Notifications belongs in Account Settings because the choices are personal, but it has a deeper structure than a simple on-or-off account switch. You begin with defaults for all spaces, then create explicit exceptions for a particular space, subspace, or activity when it needs different treatment. Blocked users has a narrower safety purpose. It lists only people blocked from exchanging direct messages with you. The page shows a loading state while it retrieves the list and a clear empty state when no one is blocked. Choosing Unblock removes the person from the visible list immediately; if the change cannot be saved, the previous list returns and Visual Space reports the problem. Follow Review and unblock people when you are ready to change this list.
These controls do different jobs. Notification preferences decide whether supported updates may enter your notification center. Blocking governs direct-message exchange with a person; it is not a notification setting.
Request A Password Change Securely
Password and security does not display a current-password field or let you choose a new password inside Account Settings. Instead, it shows the signed-in account email and sends a secure, time-limited password-reset link there.
After the request is accepted, the page tells you to check your inbox and identifies the recipient address. Open the email link to choose the new password; the current confirmation says the link expires in 5 minutes. A resend action becomes available after 30 seconds.
An accepted email request does not mean the password has changed. The change is complete only after you open the email link and successfully choose a new password. Review Recognition And Paid Access
My awards and My medals are personal histories, while the recognition itself can appear elsewhere in Visual Space. Their account pages answer different questions:
Manage Subscription gathers the recurring access and Space Boost information connected to your account. Use it to review your current Abo, active app subscriptions or packs, estimated monthly total, and available or assigned Boosts. Subscription cancellation continues on the platform that owns the purchase. Start with Payments for the product families, then use Managing Paid Access for account review and cancellation boundaries.
Understand The Delete Account Limitation
The current Delete account page presents an irreversible-action warning and opens a confirmation dialog that asks for your nickname. Those controls are an incomplete confirmation surface, not a working account-erasure flow.
Nothing on the current screen deletes your account. The nickname is not validated for deletion, confirming does not remove profile or account data, login access remains in place, and active sessions are not closed. Do not interpret the presence of the page or dialog as evidence that an erasure request has started or completed.
You can leave the dialog through its close control and remain in Account Settings. Because account erasure is not currently available from this screen, there is no deletion walkthrough to follow.

Can other people see my Account Settings?
Account Settings is a private area for the signed-in user. Public profile details and published posts belong to your profile instead.
Where do I change my name, biography, avatar, or banner?
Open your own profile and edit the profile card there. Those public details are deliberately kept out of User preferences.
Does changing Dark Mode take effect immediately?
Yes. The theme changes as soon as you use the toggle, is remembered on the device, and is saved as an account preference while you are signed in.
Does unblocking someone change notification preferences?
No. Unblocking restores direct-message exchange with that person. Notification-center choices are managed separately under Notifications.
Has my password changed when I see Check your inbox?
No. That message confirms the reset-email request. You must open the time-limited link in the email and choose a new password before the change is complete.
Can I buy Medals from My medals?
No. Medals are granted through a space's shared monthly allowance and cannot be purchased. Award top-ups add spendable Awards, which serve a different kind of recognition.
Can I delete my account from the current Delete account page?
No. The page and nickname dialog do not perform account erasure, remove profile data, close sessions, or remove login access.
