Lexi helps you learn definitions, words, expressions, and translated sentences through short practice sessions. Build a collection for your space, study a collection someone has shared, or collect useful language while reading an article.
The study material can be shared. Your answers, progress, and mastery settings stay personal. Two people opening the same collection can therefore work on different weaknesses without changing each other's learning record.
Find Your Starting Point
Open Lexi from Apps to browse collections in the current space, activity, or folder. If you open it without a space selected, the explorer uses your personal space once it is available. Sign in to use Lexi.
An opened collection has a dashboard, a study library, and practice challenges. The dashboard gives you a useful first view of the material and your progress; Start practice begins a session. On a small screen, use the collection's options menu to reach Study, Dashboard, or Settings.
The dashboard separates the collection’s material from your personal practice progress.
Study Material And Practice Belong Together
Use Study to read prompts and answers before testing yourself. Search the material, browse categories, or open a progress group such as Untested or Failed. A general knowledge definition can ask what a term means; a language entry can also support spelling, missing-word, or sentence challenges when its content is suitable.
Mixed practice rotates the available challenges and gives more attention to unfamiliar or weaker material. You can instead select one challenge, focus on a learning status, or choose named flags to narrow the session. Lexi shows feedback after each answer and schedules later reviews as you improve.
Mastery is earned separately for each challenge. Recognizing a word's meaning does not automatically mean you can recall it in reverse. See Practice challenges and Progress and settings for the decisions that shape a session.
Collections And Your Personal Library
A collection holds its own study material. Its author controls the shared entries, and its location controls who can open it. Publishing makes a draft available to authorized readers; it does not remove the space's access rules.
Your Personal library is a separate place for personal imports and article captures. Saving a collection as a favorite gives you a shortcut back to it; it does not combine that collection with your personal material or other favorites.
Common Questions
Can I use Lexi for something other than German vocabulary?
Yes. Definition entries use general prompt-and-answer pairs for knowledge study. Word and Sentence entries include language codes; German (de) and English (en) are the defaults.
Does Lexi write translations for me?
No. Add the answer yourself or import prepared prompt-and-answer records. Article selections without a translation remain in the inbox until completed.
Can a group answer one shared quiz together?
Each learner has their own session and progress. Sharing a collection provides common material, rather than synchronized answers or simultaneous editing.
