Prepare a collection that other people can study independently. This guide takes you from an empty draft to published material, while keeping each learner's answers and progress personal.

Prepare a collection that other people can study independently. This guide takes you from an empty draft to published material, while keeping each learner's answers and progress personal.

Start In The Intended Location

You need access to the space and area where the collection will live. Choose that location before creating it: publication will still respect the location's access rules.

•
Open Lexi - Select Lexi from Apps in the intended space, activity, or folder.
•
Create the collection - Choose New collection and enter a descriptive title, such as German for everyday conversations.
•
Check the heading - The new collection opens as a draft. Its empty dashboard invites you to add definitions.

An empty collection has nothing to practice yet. Build a small, coherent set of entries before sharing it.

Add Material Learners Can Use

•
Choose Add definition - Select Definition for general knowledge, Word for a vocabulary item or expression, or Sentence for translated sentence reconstruction.
•
Write the pair - Enter a prompt and answer. For language material, check the prompt and answer language codes rather than leaving an unintended language pair selected.
•
Give it a useful category - Use a subject learners will recognize, such as Travel. An empty category becomes General.
•
Save and continue - Add the definition and confirm the success message. Repeat for the remaining entries, or use prepared imports for a larger set.

Open Study and read the entries as a learner would. Correct typos through Edit definition so each existing entry keeps its history. A few distinct answers also give Lexi more useful alternatives for multiple-choice questions.

Try The Material Before Publishing

•
Return to Dashboard - Choose Mixed practice and Start practice, or select a specific challenge.
•
Check the questions - Make sure the expected answer is sensible. Sentence entries should have complete translations with the capitalization and punctuation you want learners to reconstruct.
•
Refine the content - Return to Study to edit unclear definitions, categories, or flags. Changes to a shared entry affect everyone who will use it.

Your trial answers belong to your own progress; they do not prefill another learner's record.

Publish And Make It Easy To Return

•
Open the document options - Choose Publish to open the associated article editor.
•
Prepare the presentation - Review the title and any explanation readers need, then complete the article's publication action.
•
Return to the collection - Confirm that its heading no longer identifies it as a draft. Readers who can access the location can now open and practice its material.
•
Save a shortcut - Choose Add collection to favorites when you want it available from your personal Lexi panel.

Sharing a link does not grant access to a restricted location. If a reader cannot open it, check both publication state and their access to its space and area.

What You Have Shared

You have shared the learning material, not your answers. Readers can practice independently; only the author can edit definitions, organize shared labels, import material, or exclude entries. Use the collection's Comments panel for discussion when learners need to suggest a correction.

See Collections and sharing for the ongoing ownership and access rules.
