Lexi progress shows both accuracy and readiness to recall an answer promptly. Each challenge has its own record, so learning a definition in one direction does not hide a weakness in another.

Lexi progress shows both accuracy and readiness to recall an answer promptly. Each challenge has its own record, so learning a definition in one direction does not hide a weakness in another.

Understand The Four Statuses

•
Untested means you have not attempted the relevant challenge.
•
Learning means you have answered it but have not yet reached the required fast correct streak.
•
Failed means your latest answer for that challenge was unsuccessful, including a skip or a revealed answer.
•
Mastered means you have reached your configured streak of consecutive fast correct answers.

A correct answer clears Failed. If it is slow, the challenge returns to Learning and the fast streak resets. A wrong answer resets that streak too; earlier mistakes do not add a hidden extra requirement after you begin answering well.

Overall mastery requires every available challenge. An overall entry is Failed if one of those challenges is currently failed, even when another direction is mastered. Open a challenge-specific status count to see exactly what needs practice.

Adjust What Mastery Means For You

Open Settings from the study navigation or collection options. Your preferences apply across your collections and personal library, without changing another learner's settings.

The defaults require three consecutive fast correct answers, allow three seconds for word or definition answers, and allow ten seconds for each word selected in a sentence. For sentence mastery, every word must be correct and within the selected limit.

You can set Fast correct answers needed to a whole number from 1 to 100. Both timing limits accept 0.1 to 60 seconds. Choose limits that suit your learning goal, then use Save preferences.

Saving recalculates your progress from recorded answers. Existing statuses and mastery totals may change immediately. Older sentence attempts that lack individual word timings use the recorded total time when evaluated.

Return When A Review Is Due

With the default three-answer streak, a failed or slow answer is scheduled again after one minute. The first fast correct answer schedules ten minutes, the second one hour, and reaching mastery schedules one day. A further fast correct answer schedules seven days.

Custom streak settings can reach mastery earlier or later. You can still choose an explicit challenge or status focus to practice before the scheduled review; Mixed practice with All progress normally respects the schedule.

Read Your Dashboard And Activity

The dashboard shows the selected collection's material and your progress. Open a category or status count to inspect the matching entries in Study. The totals describe the collection you are viewing, rather than combining all your favorites.

Learning activity covers the last 365 days using UTC dates. Switch between Activity, Mistakes, and Mastery to explore how often you practiced, the share of unsuccessful exercises, and your mastery over time. Day details include sessions, exercises, mastered entries, and time spent answering. Starting a session counts even if you leave before answering a question.

The mastery view uses your current material and mastery settings when evaluating past answers. Treat it as a view of your learning under those settings, rather than an unchangeable record of the exact totals once shown on each date.

Check Saved Answers

An opened collection's History panel shows your latest 100 saved answers with the prompt, challenge, result, time, and duration. On mobile, open Practice history from the collection options. History is read-only; skipped and revealed answers appear as Needs practice.

Feedback and progress counts can update while answers are waiting to sync. Saved History and the activity calendar catch up after synchronization finishes. If an error appears, use Sync now when offered. You can continue an already loaded session through a connection failure, but opening a fresh library still needs a connection.

Common Questions

Why did my mastered count fall after changing settings?

Lexi reevaluates earlier answers using your new thresholds. A stricter time limit or longer streak can move material back into Learning.

Why is today's practice on a different calendar date from my local clock?

The activity calendar groups learning by UTC day. Near midnight, that date can differ from your local date.

Is the session review the same as History?

No. The current session's review appears as you advance through resolved questions. History is the separate list of saved answers for the collection.
