Visual Space manual, Rewards, Review Medals And Certificates

Use this guide to explore the Medals shown on a member's profile, read a saved certificate, and review your own complete Medal history across spaces. The profile and account views answer different questions, so using both gives you the clearest picture.

Before You Begin

You need to be signed in to see the current profile Medal showcase. Open the member from the space whose recognition you want to review, because Earned medals follows the current space context rather than combining recognition from every community.

You can inspect another member's profile showcase, including the profile of someone you may want to recognize. My medals, by contrast, is private to your signed-in account and covers the Medals you have received or gifted.

Review Earned Medals On A Profile

Open the intended profile - Reach the member's profile from the space whose recognition matters to you. The same member can have a different Medal showcase in another space.

•

Find Earned medals - Look below the member's profile details. The compact showcase presents up to six Medal types earned in the current space.

•

Read each tile - Use the artwork and category to understand the contribution being recognized. The tile also identifies the issuing space and when the displayed recognition was earned.

•

Open the complete collection - Select View all to see every Medal type represented for that member in the current space, then choose any tile to inspect it.

The complete profile collection is still space-scoped. It is not the member's account-wide history, and it does not repeat every event when the same Medal type has been given more than once.

The public profile keeps the Medal beside the recognized member and identifies the space that issued it.

Read A Medal Certificate

Choose a Medal - Select a tile from the compact showcase or the Earned medals collection. A read-only certificate opens; viewing it cannot change the saved recognition.

•

Confirm the recipient - Check that the presented-to member is the person whose profile you opened.

•

Understand the recognition - Review the Medal category and artwork together. The category gives the broad subject, while the saved reason explains the contribution that made it meaningful.

•

Check the issuing context - Read the space identity and the original date. These show which space issued the Medal and when the recognition was recorded.

•

Read the saved reason - Treat the message as part of the lasting certificate. If an older record has no saved reason, the certificate may report that the recognition reason is unavailable.

•

Close the certificate - Return to the collection when you have finished reading it, then open another Medal if needed.

The profile certificate reliably preserves the recipient, Medal, issuing space, date, and available reason. Do not use it to identify the individual giver. In the current profile view, the issuing-space label provides the giving context; the recipient's Received account history is the place that identifies the other member when that identity is available.

Understand Repeated Medal Types

The profile is designed as a showcase, not a receipt ledger. If one space gives the same Medal type to a member more than once, that type appears once and opens its latest certificate for that space. This avoids repeating identical artwork while keeping the most recent recognition visible.

No event is discarded from personal history. The recipient's Received history and the giver's Gifted history retain each successful Medal event separately, including repeated types.

Open My Medals

•

Open Account Settings - Use your account menu to enter Account Settings, then select My medals from the settings navigation.

•

Use the account-panel shortcut - When convenient, select My medals directly from your profile panel. Its counter reflects received Medal events; it is not the number of Medals you can give.

•

Start with Received - The page opens on Received, showing recognition given to your account across spaces.

•

Switch to Gifted - Select Gifted to review recognition you gave to other members.

Unlike the profile showcase, My medals is across-space personal history. Both tabs list individual events newest first and do not combine repeated Medal types.

Read Received And Gifted History

•

Check the tab counter - Each counter represents individual Medal events in that history. Two recognitions of the same type count as two events.

•

Identify the Medal - A row shows the Medal category and artwork. Each row represents one Medal, rather than a quantity grouped with other gifts.

•

Find the other member - Received identifies the giver when that person is available. Gifted identifies the recipient. If the identity cannot be resolved, the row can show Unknown member while preserving the event.

•

Read the space and date - The source-space segment shows which issuing-space context belongs to the event, followed by its date when available.

•

Review the reason - The saved recognition message appears when the event contains one. A row without a visible reason still remains part of the history.

These ledger rows are for reviewing history; they do not replace the richer read-only certificate opened from a space-scoped profile.

Interpret Medals Available

The Medals available total is the sum of the remaining monthly allowances in all joined spaces where you are currently authorized to give Medals. It can be greater than five when several eligible spaces contribute to the total.

This number is not:

•

a personal collection that belongs to you;

•

the number of Medals you have received;

•

an allowance reserved against use by other authorized members.

Each portion of the total still belongs to its source space and is shared by that space's owner and members with Give medals permission. Another authorized giver can therefore use part of the allowance before you do. Read Medals for the full allowance model, or follow Give a Medal when you are ready to recognize someone.

If Recognition Looks Missing

•

Check the space context - An absent Earned medals section or an unexpected collection does not prove that the member has no Medals elsewhere. Reopen their profile from the intended space and make sure you are signed in.

•

Compare the two scopes - A profile keeps the latest certificate per type for one space. Use My medals when you need every event across spaces, including repeats.

•

Reload recent recognition - A newly given Medal does not update an already-open recipient profile or account history live. Reload the profile or reopen My medals so it can request the latest data.

•

Recognize a successful empty history - No medals received yet and No medals gifted yet mean that the selected account tab currently has no events; the other tab may still contain history.

•

Keep the last loaded view in mind - If a full-page history refresh reports a problem, the previous snapshot may remain visible. Reopen the page after the connection recovers before treating it as the latest record.
