Notifications bring important updates from across Visual Space into one place. Catch up on responses to your work, recognition, changes in your spaces, and notices from Visual Space, then open the item that needs your attention.
Catch Up Across Your Work
Choose Notifications in the tools bar to open the Notification Center. It can include:
The list puts recent activity first. Busy notification families become expandable summaries, so you can review several responses together without losing the people and content behind them.
Expand a notification family to inspect the items behind its total.
Chat messages, mentions, and replies have their own attention indicators. They do not all become entries here. When following a conversation, check Chat or Direct Messages as well as the global center.
Review, Acknowledge, or Clear
Opening the center, expanding a group, and following a destination leave notifications unread. You decide when to acknowledge them with Mark all as read. This covers your account's whole inbox, including older entries that are not loaded on screen.
Read entries stay in history. Later activity arrives as new unread entries, even when it concerns the same post or message. The tools-bar number represents unread activity and can be larger than the number of visible cards.
Clear all notifications removes notice history instead. It leaves the underlying posts, messages, and other work intact and does not stop future notices. For the full catch-up workflow, follow Review and Open Notifications.
Make the List Useful to You
Open Notification preferences from the panel menu, or go to Account Settings > Notifications. Global choices control each family across your account; area exceptions let you mute supported updates for an exact space, subspace, or activity.
New post starts off unless you have already enabled it. Turn it on globally if you want future new-post notices. Comments and reactions have their own controls, so you can follow responses to your work without subscribing to every new post.
Global exceptions set the account-wide baseline; area exceptions can mute specific places.
Preferences apply to future notices. They do not delete existing entries or clear conversation attention indicators. Notification Preferences explains how global choices and area mutes work together.
Common Questions
Will I get an email or phone alert for every notification?
No. Ordinary activity notices are available in the app. Promotional email has its own consent setting; device push and notification sounds are not currently available.
Will Notifications remind me before a meeting?
Meeting reminders do not currently arrive here, even though a preference for them is visible. Check the event or meeting for its schedule.
Why has a response not appeared yet?
Comments and reactions can arrive on a later refresh rather than immediately. Open the panel to request the current list. Your preferences, the kind of update, and your access also affect what appears.
Does a notification give me access to its destination?
No. You still need permission to open the linked work. A notice cannot restore deleted content or access you no longer have.
