Visual Space manual, Notifications, Notification Center

The Notification Center gives signed-in users one low-noise place to catch important activity and return to the work behind it. It brings together selected content, space, recognition, engagement, role, and Visual Space notices without replacing the unread indicators that belong to chats and direct messages.

The Notification Center is your account's shared list of important updates. Open Notifications in the tools bar to review what happened, see who was involved, and return to the relevant work.

Read a Busy Inbox

Cards normally appear newest first, with pinned notices kept prominent. The title names the event or affected work, while supporting details show its sender, context, and date. Awards use their own Award image; official notices appear from VS Team.

More than five events of the same family in an unread or read group become an expandable summary. Five or fewer remain individual. Reactions distinguish posts from Chat messages.

For a busy comment or reaction summary, there are two levels to explore:

•
Expand the family card to see the affected posts or messages and their counts.
•
Select a content row's count or chevron to reveal its individual events. The surrounding row also expands it.
•
Select the content title to open the work itself.

Individual events show the person, time, and comment excerpt or reaction. Award summaries expand directly into the individual notices. Counts cover the complete group, including details that have not loaded yet; use Load more to continue through its events or older inbox cards.

Expand a notification family to inspect the items behind its total.

The number beside Notifications measures unread activity rather than visible cards. A grouped set of comments or reactions can contribute several unread events. Older summaries may not have the individual people or excerpts available for expansion.

Follow the Notice

A notification's destination depends on what happened:

•
Posts, comments, post reactions, and post Awards open the related article or post.
•
Chat reactions and Chat Awards return to the conversation. A message reaction can lead to its exact message; older summaries may identify only the Chat.
•
A new space area or role assignment opens the relevant Posts context.
•
A staff reply opens your private conversation with that space's staff, focused on the reply.
•
An Originals production update opens the relevant item in Originals Studio.
•
A Terms update opens the policy page. An article-backed Visual Space update opens a focused reader over your current screen.

A promotion follows the destination shown by its action. Reading an offer does not itself redeem it or grant access.

A notice can outlast the content or access it once described. If a destination cannot open, check your access and visit the named space or conversation directly. The notice does not recover deleted work.

Keep Read History or Remove It

Mark all as read acknowledges the whole account inbox, including older pages. Opening the panel, following links, scrolling, or expanding groups does not perform that action for you.

The read action clears unread highlights while saving. If it fails, the previous unread state returns with feedback so you can retry. Read groups preserve the events you acknowledged together; a later comment or reaction begins new unread activity instead of reopening that history.

Use the separate delete icon, Clear all notifications, only when you want to remove the account's notification history. It covers unloaded pages too. Source content and future notification preferences stay in place. If clearing fails, the history remains and the panel reports the problem.

Current Space Notices

Owners and members with permission to manage a Space can see a pinned monthly-transfer notice for the Space they have open. It describes the current usage or delivery state and opens Space Administration for details.

This is live Space information, so it does not add to the unread count and can remain after you clear notice history. Read its current message in Space Administration instead of treating a cleared inbox as confirmation that the issue has ended.

Common Questions

Why do notifications appear after I reopen the panel?

The center refreshes when opened and periodically while you are signed in. Some updates arrive promptly; comments and reactions may wait for the next refresh. Reopening requests the current list.

What does No notifications mean?

The center finished loading and has no entries to display. Chat, Direct Messages, and area indicators can still show activity because their attention state is separate.

What should I do if loading fails?

For Could not load notifications, choose Try again. A loading failure or an older tools-bar count does not confirm that you are caught up.

Can I mute one kind of update instead of repeatedly clearing it?

Yes. Open Notification preferences in the panel menu. Preferences change future delivery; clearing history only removes the notices already present.

Follow Review and Open Notifications for a complete catch-up, or read Notification Preferences to reduce future noise.
