Reports lets you raise a concern about a post or article without turning it into a public argument. Choose the rule you believe was broken, add context when useful, and let an authorized reviewer assess the content.
Reporting Starts A Review
Submitting a report does not automatically hide content. A report records a concern; a reviewer decides whether the content can remain or should be removed. Several people can report the same post independently, but the number of reports does not decide the outcome.
Use Report in a post or loaded article menu when it is available. Posts have the complete reporting and review journey: a concern can be submitted, examined beside the post, and resolved in the space's Reports area. A loaded article can also offer the form, although its follow-up experience does not have the same complete coverage.
The loaded article menu exposes Report before any rule, note, or submission screen is opened.
Choose A Rule And Explain The Concern
The form offers specific Visual Space rules and one general option named Breaks [space name] rules. It does not list each of the community's rules separately. Use the links in the form to read the platform rules or the space's public rules if you need context.
Select one rule to enable Report. The optional User Note helps when the concern depends on a particular phrase, an earlier exchange, or a local expectation. Keep it factual and point the reviewer to the relevant content.
After a successful submission, you see Report submitted. Ordinary readers do not see a public report marker. The confirmation means the concern was accepted for review; it does not promise removal or a particular decision.
Follow Report A Post Or Article for the full submission flow, or read Reporting Content for help choosing the right context.
Three Views For Space Reviewers
The space owner and joined members with Manage Content permission can open Reports in the space's Settings area. Review is scoped to that space.
Review new cases here. Resolved decisions and removed posts have their own tabs.
A pending report brings together the selected rule, the member's note, and the reported post. Reviewers can add a Moderator Note, then choose Approve, Remove, or Spam. Approve leaves visibility unchanged. Remove and Spam hide the post through a reversible moderation removal.
Resolving a report and restoring content are separate actions. A resolved case cannot be edited from its card. To return eligible removed content, use Removed posts; restoring it leaves the report's recorded decision intact.
Review In Context
Space maintainers can also see pending concerns beside posts in the feed. If a post has several pending reports, its report count opens the individual cases together. Read each rule and note rather than treating the count as evidence of wrongdoing.
Report Review explains the decisions and queue states. Removed Posts explains who can restore a removal and why some content must remain hidden.
Common Questions
Can other readers see that I reported something?
Ordinary members do not see a public marker after submission. The report and notes appear in the authorized review experience.
Does Approve endorse the post?
No. It resolves that concern without changing the post's visibility. It also does not restore a post already removed for another reason.
Can I report every type of content?
Use the available Report action on posts and loaded articles. This guide does not promise equivalent reporting for comments, messages, raw files, or profiles.
Will I get a personal report-tracking page?
Submission provides confirmation. Do not rely on a personal status inbox or a later outcome notification as part of this workflow.
Can a removed post come back?
An authorized reviewer may restore a moderation removal. Author deletion is separate and cannot be undone through Removed posts.
