App access lets you add a creative or engineering workspace without changing your Visual Space Abo. Choose a pack when you use several related apps, or subscribe to one standalone app when your work is more focused.
The key distinction is access versus visibility. Paid app access unlocks supported creation and editing. It does not replace membership, ownership, privacy, or role permissions in a space. People without the app subscription can still view shared app work where normal space permissions allow.
Choose a Pack or a Standalone App
The Premium page groups app access into Creative Apps and Engineering Apps. Every current app offer is a monthly subscription:
A standalone subscription is the direct choice when you need one app. A pack usually makes more sense when your work crosses several included apps. The app cards on Premium show the active offer and disable a standalone purchase when another active subscription already includes the same access.
Designer Pack groups Whiteboard, Canvas, Poly, and included storage beside the standalone creative-app choices.
Compare the Creative and Engineering Packs
Designer Pack brings together the creative side of visual work. Whiteboard supports collaborative boards connected to space work, while Canvas and Poly are presented as early-access tools for image experiments and 3D ideas. The pack also supplies 20 GB of storage that you can assign to a joined space, including a private workspace for your own projects.
Engineer Pack groups Blueprints, Layouts, and Poly for technical design. Blueprints covers precise shared drawings, Layouts focuses on measured 2D plans, and Poly extends the set into early 3D scene exploration. The pack does not include the Designer Pack storage benefit.
Poly belongs to both packs, but that overlap does not make the packs duplicates. Designer Pack still contributes Whiteboard and Canvas, while Engineer Pack contributes Blueprints and Layouts. You may keep both packs active when your work spans creative and technical workflows.
Keep App Access Separate from Your Abo
App access can coexist with Free, Contributor, or Coordinator. Buying Designer Pack, Engineer Pack, or a standalone app does not upgrade or replace your Abo. Likewise, changing your Abo does not remove an otherwise active app subscription.
Coordinator has one important included-app relationship: Coordinator includes Whiteboard. If you already have Coordinator, you do not need standalone Whiteboard access. Coordinator does not include Canvas, Blueprints, Layouts, or Poly, so those apps still need their standalone subscription or a matching pack.

Understand What Access Unlocks
When a supported paid-app surface requires access, the matching subscription allows you to create or edit work in that app. Normal space rules are checked separately, so app access cannot reveal private areas, open files you cannot otherwise reach, or grant a role inside a space.
The reverse is also useful: someone may be able to view a shared Whiteboard, Canvas, Blueprint, Layout, or Poly file without subscribing. If they try an action that requires paid app access, Visual Space shows an unlock prompt naming the app and the pack or packs that include it. Choosing Premium from that prompt opens the app catalog, where they can compare the relevant standalone offer and pack.
Canvas and Poly are early-access workspaces. Their cards describe the current editing experience without promising that every workflow available in a mature app is already present. Choose them for the capabilities shown on Premium, and expect the tools to continue developing.
Avoid Duplicate Subscriptions
Before checkout, Visual Space checks whether your active access already covers the offer. It blocks a purchase when it would create duplicate subscription value, including these cases:
If you pay for a standalone app and then decide to buy a pack that includes it, cancel the standalone subscription first. A pack purchase can surface every overlapping standalone subscription that needs attention. Cancellation takes place on the web, iOS, or Android platform where the subscription was created, because Visual Space cannot cancel a platform-owned subscription on your behalf.
This protection is about avoiding two charges for the same access. It does not prevent Designer Pack and Engineer Pack from coexisting, because each pack still adds two apps that the other does not include.
Choose and Review Your Access
Open Premium to compare the Creative Apps and Engineering Apps sections. Check whether you need one app or a broader pack, confirm any included access from Coordinator, then choose the relevant card. Visual Space asks you to sign in before checkout if needed and refreshes your active access after a successful purchase.

Common Questions
Do I need an Abo before I can buy an app?
No. Packs and standalone app subscriptions are independent of your Abo and can be added to Free, Contributor, or Coordinator.
Does Coordinator include all creative apps?
No. Coordinator includes Whiteboard. Canvas and Poly require Designer Pack or their respective standalone access, while Poly can also come from Engineer Pack.
Can I use Designer Pack and Engineer Pack together?
Yes. Both include Poly, but Designer Pack adds Whiteboard and Canvas while Engineer Pack adds Blueprints and Layouts.
Why can I view a shared file without the app subscription?
Viewing follows normal space and file permissions. Paid access is an additional requirement for supported creation and editing actions, not a replacement for sharing rules.
Why is a standalone purchase unavailable?
The app may already be included by Coordinator or an active pack, or the same standalone subscription may already be active. Review your current access before trying another purchase.
What should I do before replacing standalone apps with a pack?
Manage and cancel every standalone subscription included by the pack, then wait for your access state to reflect the change before starting the pack purchase.
Are Canvas and Poly finished products?
They are currently presented as early-access creative and 3D workspaces. Use the current Premium cards to judge whether the available capabilities fit your work.
