Events brings schedules, attendance, and shared context together, so communities can plan an occasion and keep its notes and discussion afterward.

Plan With The Calendar

•
Month and week views - Members can see their space, subspace, or activity schedule in a calendar and switch to All events for cards.
•
Date navigation - Jump to today, select a date, or step through months and weeks without leaving the calendar.
•
Search your schedule - Search event titles and keywords to narrow the events shown.
•
Week time zones - Choose a fixed UTC offset for the weekly time grid, with the choice remembered on your device.
•
Calendar details panel - Select an event to read its article beside the calendar, then open the full event when needed.
•
Upcoming and completed - All events keeps active cards and compact completed cards together, making past details and discussions easy to revisit.

Discover Events

•
Events across communities - Browse published public events across spaces, with featured events, cover images, attendance, and calendar views.
•
Hot Events - The main feed highlights a small selection of public events and links to the wider Events page.
•
Upcoming event reminders - A joined space can show its next event beside its icon, with a countdown and a link to event details.
•
About page previews - About pages can highlight up to three events with the strongest confirmed and tentative interest.
•
Event search - Published events can appear in Search with their schedule, status, author, attendance, description, and image when available.

Plan And Publish

•
Private event drafts - Coordinators with permission to manage events can prepare an event before anyone else sees it.
•
Create from the calendar - Select a date or drag across calendar slots to begin a draft with the chosen schedule.
•
Drag to reschedule - Authors and permitted event managers can move or resize non-recurring events directly in their community calendar.
•
Repeating events - Choose daily, weekly, or monthly repetition to display the same event across its calendar occurrences.
•
Event colors - Assign an event color to make related sessions easier to spot in a busy calendar.
•
Create from discovery - New Event on the public Events page lets coordinators choose an eligible destination before drafting.
•
Rich event editor - Drafts include a title, keywords, schedule, and a full article. Authors can add agendas, links, notes, and other details.
•
Separate draft list - Authors can switch to their draft list, reopen unfinished events, and continue without losing saved changes.
•
Publish when ready - Publishing moves an event into the main Events list for members who can access that area. The event publishing guide follows this private-draft lifecycle.
•
Schedule editing - Eligible editors can adjust start and end dates, times, and repetition from the event editor.
•
Archived activities - New events cannot be created inside an archived activity.

Event Details And Discussion

•
Linked event article - Every event opens into an article that keeps its schedule and rich details together before, during, and after the event.

•
Conversation and recognition - Event articles support comments, reactions, awards, linked posts, and linked articles.
•
Consistent updates - Changes to an event's title, keywords, or schedule stay aligned between its card and article.
•
Live calendar updates - Open community event lists refresh when someone changes an event or responds to it.

Attendance

•
Simple responses - Members can answer confirmed, tentative, or declined from an active event card.
•
Easy changes - Choosing another response updates the totals, while choosing the same response again clears it.
•
Remembered choice - A member's response stays selected when they return, helping everyone understand the latest attendance picture.

From Event To Meeting

•
Scheduled meetings - Published events in subspaces or activities can start a meeting when their scheduled start arrives.
•
Participant invitations - The event author and members who confirmed or answered tentative receive invitations to the scheduled meeting.

Event Actions

•
Card options - Right-click or Control-click on desktop, or long-press on mobile, to open an event's actions.
•
Save for later - Signed-in users can add events to View Later and remove them again.
•
Reactions and awards - Space owners and members with the matching permissions can react to events or give awards.
•
Expo highlights - Space owners and members with Expo permission can feature published events in Expo or remove them later.

Access And Availability

•
Event management - Event authors and people with permission to manage events can edit, publish, and delete eligible events.
•
Member attendance - Members only need access to the event's space area to respond. They do not need event-management permission.
•
Feature availability - The Events app appears only when Events is enabled for the community.
•
Coordinator access - Creating events requires Coordinator access as well as permission to manage events in the chosen area.
•
Shared recurring details - Repeated calendar entries share one event article and attendance response; individual occurrences cannot be dragged independently.
•
Recurring meeting limit - Repetition in the calendar does not start a new meeting automatically for every occurrence.
•
Feed announcements - Publishing an event does not automatically add an announcement to the discussion feed.
