Finishing a goal has two stages. First, a goal editor moves the goal into a column whose category is `Done`. Later, a space owner or goal manager can clear that whole column from the active board into Done Goals history. This walkthrough takes you through both stages and helps you check the result before the completed work becomes a lasting read-only record.

Finish a goal visibly, clear reviewed work from the board, and find its record later. If the objective needs more work, you can reopen it through its article.

Goal editors can change the status of their goals. Clearing a whole Done column requires space-owner or goal-management access. Readers can review completed goals in areas they can access.

Mark The Outcome Complete

•
Open the goal - Select its card in the intended Goals area and review its article. Add the result or useful final context if you have editing access.
•
Choose a Done status - Open Status in the article and select a Done-category column, or choose Change Status from the card menu. The column's category matters, even if its name is Shipped or Approved.
•
Check the board - Confirm the card now appears in the intended column. Dragging to that column is another option when text search is clear.

The board groups current work by status while keeping its activity and assignee visible.

The goal is complete but still visible on the board. Leave it there while people review the result; completion alone does not move it into history.

Clear Reviewed Work

•
Check the area - Confirm whether you are reviewing the whole space or one activity.
•
Show the full column - Clear search, assignee filters, and color filters. Clear Done includes hidden goals in the same column and area, not only the filtered cards you see.
•
Keep unfinished work active - Move anything still needing work into an appropriate non-Done stage before clearing.
•
Clear the column - Open its More actions and choose Clear Done. There is no extra confirmation screen.
•
Verify the result - The goals leave the board while the column remains. If an error restores the cards, check the connection and column contents before retrying.

Find The Completed Record

•
Open history - Choose View Done in the Done column or Done Goals in the Goals activity options.
•
Find the result - Scan the newest-first list, or search by reference, title, or keywords. Combine assignee and tag filters when you need a smaller set.
•
Review its context - Open a row to read the article beside the history. Closing the article returns to the list; the rows themselves do not offer inline editing or dragging.

History uses the goal's completion time, so a newly cleared older goal may appear below work completed more recently. Scroll for older pages, and clear search or filters if a known item is absent.

Review Progress By Period

Use the Done Goals options to choose Group by Days, Group by Months, or Group by Years. Choose No grouping to return to one list.

Each group shows the loaded goals for that completion period and available leading-participant information. A group can grow as older pages load. Records without a completion date appear under Earlier.

Reopen Work When Needed

Use this when the same objective needs another pass, rather than creating a duplicate goal.

•
Open its article - Select the completed row. You need goal-editing access to change its status.
•
Choose a non-Done stage - In Status, select a column categorized as To Do or In Progress. Another Done-category column keeps it completed.
•
Return to the board - Choose Board and find the goal in the selected column. Clear any filter that hides it.

The goal leaves cleared history, returns to active work, and loses its previous completion date. Completing it again records the new completion time. Its article and reference continue to identify the same objective.

If The Result Is Unexpected

The column sounds completed but has no Clear Done action.

A manager should check its category. The command is only offered for a Done category.

I can change a goal's status but cannot clear the column.

You may be the reporter or assignee. Clearing requires broader goal-management access.

The completed list is empty.

Check that the column was cleared, rather than only moved to Done. Also check the current area, filters, and your access.

I cannot reopen a goal from the row.

Open its article and use Status. If the status is not editable, ask the reporter or a goal manager to review it.

See Completed Goals for the completion model, or Board and workflow for categories and column controls.
