Rankings help you find people contributing to a community. Top Contributors brings together selected forms of participation, then introduces the people behind the results through their profiles and shared work.
Use it when you are new to a space, looking for an active collaborator, or curious about who is helping a community grow. A position is a starting point for discovery, not a measure of someone's overall value or productivity.
Start With The Community
Each ranking belongs to a space or a supported subspace or activity. The same person can appear in different positions in different areas, because those lists reflect different contribution contexts.
Open the community's Apps menu and choose Members. From an Expo or About contributor preview, View All opens the whole-space ranking, even if you were previously exploring a smaller area. Check the space and selected area before comparing results.
The Members app is a contributor discovery page, not a complete membership directory. Rankings include up to 50 contributors in each scope, so an absent name does not mean that person has left the community.
Use View All to open the contributors list for the whole space.
What The Ranking Reflects
Several kinds of eligible activity can contribute:
Available profile information and received Awards can also provide context. These are not interchangeable counters: adding the numbers displayed on a profile will not reproduce its position in the list.
Draft and excluded content is not counted like shared community work. Direct messages and time online do not influence Rankings. The page does not reveal private conversations or explain every part of the calculation.
Many useful contributions happen outside these activities. Reading carefully, mentoring someone, or preparing work offline may matter greatly without appearing in a ranking. Explore someone's work before drawing conclusions from their position.
Expect Changes Over Time
Rankings are not a live activity counter. New work can take time to affect the list, and reopening the page immediately after posting does not guarantee a different position. There is no guaranteed update time for an individual space.
A move up or down can reflect several kinds of contribution across the community. It need not be a response to the last thing you did.
If the page says No contributors yet, no contributor results are available for that scope. That does not prove that nobody has participated. If it instead says Could not load top contributors., choose Try again to retry the current community or area.
Explore The People Behind The Ranking
The first three contributors receive larger cards. Further entries appear under Introductions. Select a featured card or a contributor's avatar to open their profile and learn more about them.
Top Contributors explains the cards and optional achievement details. For a complete journey from community to profile, follow Find and explore contributors.
Common Questions
Is this a ranking of everyone in Visual Space?
No. Each list belongs to one space or supported area. It is not a platform-wide reputation score.
Does a high position guarantee expertise or trustworthiness?
No. The ranking reflects selected participation. A person's profile, published work, and your own experience provide a fuller picture.
Can I see a private space's ranking without joining?
Private-space rankings require membership or ownership of the space. A contributor profile does not grant access to their other communities or content.
Why am I missing even though I contribute?
The list is limited to 50 contributors and may not reflect recent work yet. It also does not measure every useful contribution.
