Visual Space manual, Payments, Assign Or Move A Space Boost

Use this guide to place an available Space Boost where it will help, move an active Boost as projects change, or return it to your unassigned inventory. The result is a space-wide capacity change without changing who can enter the space or what its members are allowed to do.

Before You Assign

Make sure these basics are in place:

Have a Boost available - You can buy a standalone Boost or receive assignable storage through an active Contributor or Coordinator Abo or Designer Pack.

Join the destination space - The space picker shows spaces you have joined. Joining a space does not require you to own or administer it.

Choose the Boost by the limit you need to change. A storage Boost adds room for files and media that count toward the space's storage use. An upload-headroom Boost appears as +5 MB file size and raises the space-wide per-file limit by 5 MB. Upload headroom does not add storage, and extra storage does not raise the per-file limit.

Review Your Boost Inventory

Open Manage Subscription - Open your account settings and choose Manage Subscription.

Check Active boosts - Review the Boosts already assigned to spaces. Each row identifies the Boost, destination space, cost, relevant date, and the Move and Unassign actions.

Check Available to assign - Review the Boosts you own but have not placed in a space. These rows show Not assigned and provide the Assign action.

Use the cost column to understand how the page counts each Boost. Included means the row does not add a separate Boost charge. A monthly amount marks a paid Boost add-on and contributes to the page's add-on estimate. Both kinds follow the same assignment flow.

The settled inventory separates active placements from Boosts you own but have not assigned, while preserving each row's type, cost, date, and action.

Assign an Available Boost

Choose the right row - Under Available to assign, find the storage or upload-headroom Boost you want to place.

•

Select Assign - Visual Space opens the joined-space picker for that specific Boost.

•

Choose the destination - Select the joined space that needs the benefit. If the picker has no destinations, join a space first and return to this page.

•

Confirm the new assignment - After the change completes, the Boost leaves Available to assign and appears under Active boosts with the chosen space's name.

The Boost now improves that space for everyone whose normal access lets them upload there. Capacity is not permission: assignment does not reveal private areas, add members, change roles, or let someone upload where they could not upload before.

Move a Boost to Another Space

Before moving a Boost, consider whether the current space still depends on it. Moving changes which space receives the limit; it does not transfer files between spaces.

Find the active Boost - Under Active boosts, locate the row that names the current destination.

•

Select Move - The same joined-space picker opens for the assigned Boost.

•

Choose the new space - Select another joined space that needs the capacity.

•

Check both consequences - The old space loses the storage or upload-headroom effect, while the new space receives that same effect. The Boost remains yours throughout the move.

•

Verify the destination row - Confirm that the active row now names the new space.

If the old space was close to its storage or upload limit, review its capacity before members add more content. Moving a Boost does not create a second benefit or leave a copy behind.

Return a Boost to Available Inventory

Use Unassign when you want to remove a Boost from a space without immediately choosing a new destination.

Select Unassign - Find the Boost under Active boosts and use its Unassign action.

•

Check the inventory change - The space loses the Boost's effect, and the Boost returns to Available to assign as Not assigned.

Unassigning does not cancel a paid Boost or the Abo or pack that supplied it. It only parks the benefit in your account so you can assign it later.

Verify the Space-Wide Result

The Active boosts row is the first checkpoint: it should show the correct Boost type and destination space. Then verify the practical limit that changed.

For storage - If you can manage the destination space, open its administration details and check the storage total and Space Boosters list.

•

For upload headroom - In the same space details, check the regular and video upload limits. The extra headroom applies across the space, but every uploader still needs access to the target area.

•

For another member - A joined member with upload permission uses the same boosted space limit. They do not need to own the Boost.

If the row remains in the wrong section or shows the wrong destination after the page refreshes, do not repeat several assignment actions in quick succession. Refresh the account view and check again before moving or unassigning the Boost.

When the Supplying Product Ends

An included or standalone recurring Boost lasts only while the product supplying it remains active. Cancellation normally leaves the benefit in place through the current billing period. When the product expires, the Boost is removed from your inventory and any assigned space loses its extra capacity or upload headroom.

Moving or unassigning cannot preserve an expired benefit. Before ending an Abo, pack, or standalone Boost, review its destination and plan for the space's lower limits.
