A file card helps you recognize an upload. Opening or downloading it gives you the original material. The available action depends on the file type, so a preview image on a card does not mean every format has an in-app editor.
View Images And Videos Together
Select an image or video to open the media viewer. Its timeline lets you browse neighboring visual files from the same folder in the selected sort order. Folders and ordinary document files do not join this media sequence.
Preview an image in place, then close the lightbox to return to its folder.
The viewer begins with the selected item and loads more media as you reach the ends. You can see the selected file's author and date and use its save-for-later action. If more items fail to load, the media already available can remain open.
Use this for reviewing a group of reference images or clips without repeatedly closing and reopening cards.
Open The File You Need
Files have different viewing paths:
A browser may display or download a file according to its own capabilities and settings. Documents does not provide a full office editor for an uploaded .docx, spreadsheet, or presentation.
Generated thumbnails can show a PDF's first page, readable text, or a simple table. They are visual hints, not converted replacements. A file with no generated preview still has a name, type, and original download.
Copy Or Download An Original Image
For a supported uploaded image, open its item menu and choose Copy image or Download image. These actions use the original image, rather than the smaller card thumbnail.
Copy image depends on the browser allowing clipboard access. If copying fails, use Download image and keep the downloaded original instead.
These image actions do not appear on folders, videos, ordinary file cards, or app projects. Use each item's available viewing or download action.
Keep Access And Location In Mind
Opening a file still requires access to the source area. A private file does not become public because its card appears in a message or a personal panel beside a public workspace.
Space storage and monthly transfer are separate. When a space approaches its transfer allowance, previews may become lighter while explicit originals and downloads remain available. If file delivery is blocked, new previews and downloads may be unavailable too; switching folders does not restore that allowance.

Common Questions
Did the upload fail because its card has no picture?
Not necessarily. Preview generation is optional. Check the file's upload result and original download.
Why can I see a table thumbnail but not open its card as an editor?
A generated preview and an editing experience are different features. Download the original table file to work on it in a suitable app.
Does renaming a file change its format?
No. Rename changes the displayed title; it does not convert the uploaded content.
Can I turn a file into a readable article?
Use Publish to start a separate article draft. Review and prepare the content yourself; full automatic conversion is not promised. See App Files and Publishing.
