Use this guide to recognize a contribution with an illustrated Award and choose how much emphasis to give it. You can Award supported content, a message in public space chat, another participant in an active activity meeting, or a whiteboard.

Before You Start

An Award spends from your personal balance. Check these requirements before opening the picker:

Sign in - Awards can be given only from a signed-in account.
Open the target - Make sure you can access the content, public conversation, active activity meeting, or whiteboard you want to recognize.
Check your access - You must own the space or have Add awards permission for the relevant content or area. Having a balance does not bypass space access.
Keep Awards available - Your chosen quantity cannot exceed your current spendable balance.
Choose another meeting participant - You and the recipient must be distinct participants in the same active activity meeting. You cannot Award yourself or someone who has left the meeting.

Direct Messages and Direct Message calls do not offer Awards. Use a reaction when you want to acknowledge a private message.

Open The Picker In The Right Place

The entry label depends on what you are Awarding. Look for the action near the target instead of expecting one universal control.

Recognize supported content - Open the action or reaction area for a post, article, goal, or event. Depending on the surface and whether Awards already exist, choose Award, Add Award, or the available Awards action.
Recognize a public message - Open the message menu in public space chat and choose Give Award. The action is absent in Direct Messages.
Recognize a meeting participant - While both of you are active in the activity meeting, open the other participant's menu and choose Give award.
Place an Award on a whiteboard - Choose the Award tool, then select the position on the board where the card should appear. The picker opens for that board position.

If you can see existing Awards but cannot find an action for adding one, check your Add awards permission and confirm that the current surface supports Awards.

Choose The Artwork And Quantity

The picker separates style from spending so you can make a deliberate choice before anything is sent.

Review the available count - At the top of the catalog, check how many Awards you can currently spend.
Choose the artwork - Select the illustrated Award style that fits the contribution. This opens the quantity view; it does not send the Award yet.
Set the quantity - Use the slider to choose how many of that Award to give. The quantity starts at one and is capped by your available balance.
Return if needed - Select Cancel to go back to the artwork catalog without sending. You can then choose a different style.
Check the final choice - Review the artwork and quantity together. There is no undo or revoke action after an Award is sent.
Send the Award - Select Confirm. Visual Space sends the chosen quantity and lowers your spendable balance.

The picker keeps the chosen style, quantity, available count, and untouched confirmation together before an Award is sent.

On a whiteboard, confirming also turns your selection into a card at the position you chose. The card keeps the artwork, quantity, and giver context as part of the shared board.

Recognize A Successful Award

The visible result follows the place where you gave it:

Supported content - The item shows the Award artwork and updated count. Open its Awards view when you want to confirm who gave each Award style and how the total is attributed.
Public space chat - The message's Award display updates in the live conversation with the new count and attribution.
Activity meeting - A temporary celebration appears on the meeting stage, identifying the Award and the people involved.
Whiteboard - The positioned Award card remains visible on the canvas with its artwork and quantity.

Your available balance should also be lower by the quantity you confirmed. To inspect your balance and Gifted history afterward, follow Review Awards and balance.

When The Catalog Is Unavailable

If your balance is empty, the picker shows that no Awards are available and disables the artwork catalog. Choose Premium to explore ways to add Awards, or read Award top-ups before purchasing.

If an Award action is missing even though you have a balance, return to the prerequisites: confirm the surface supports Awards, you can access the target, and you own the space or have Add awards permission. In an activity meeting, also confirm that both people are still active participants and that you selected someone other than yourself.

Continue With Rewards

Awards - Understand supported surfaces, visibility, balance rules, and attribution in more detail.
Rewards - Compare quick item-level Awards with rare, lasting Medals.
Review Awards and balance - Check what you can spend and review Awards you received or gifted.
Award top-ups - Learn how one-time Award packs affect your balance.
