Keep up to three arrangements in one scene and switch between them during review. This guide uses Variants so that each choice remains editable instead of becoming a disconnected screenshot. You need to be the scene author. Variant choices change saved visibility, so decide how you want the scene to look when other viewers open it.

Keep up to three arrangements in one scene and switch between them during review. This guide uses Variants so that each choice remains editable instead of becoming a disconnected screenshot.

You need to be the scene author. Variant choices change saved visibility, so decide how you want the scene to look when other viewers open it.

Prepare The Alternatives

•
Group the first arrangement - Select the objects that belong together and create a meaningful group, such as Seating along the wall.
•
Duplicate for another direction - Duplicate the composition, then rearrange its objects into the second proposal. Rename that group so reviewers can distinguish the idea from its letter.
•
Keep common context separate - Leave shared terrain, walls or reference objects outside the alternative groups so that switching choices does not hide the whole scene.

You can use individual objects instead of groups for simple alternatives, such as three different building masses.

Create The Comparison

•
Select the alternatives - Select up to three objects or groups, then choose Variants from Interactions.
•
Inspect Targets - Open Inspector for the Variants marker. Check the target list and its order; these determine A, B and C.
•
Show each choice - Use A, B or C to show one alternative. Use Compare to show all referenced alternatives together.
•
Inspect from one camera - Use a saved camera when comparing the same part of each arrangement. Keeping the framing consistent makes differences easier to assess.

Creating Variants initially records the choices without rearranging their visibility. Selecting A/B/C or Compare makes the visibility change; Undo can reverse that action.

Record The Decision

Use Article or Comments to explain the tradeoff: for example, one arrangement leaves a wider route while another creates more seating. Return to the intended saved choice and wait for the scene to finish saving.

Do not delete an alternative until you mean to remove the underlying work. Deleting a target removes it from the Variants list as well. For an independent version of the whole document, use a Docs copy instead.

Interactions and alternatives also explains manual Sequences and the boundary between describing behavior and running it.
