This walkthrough takes a reported post from the new queue to a verified decision in resolved history. Use it when you are responsible for reviewing reports in a particular space and want to preserve a clear record for other authorized reviewers.

Before You Review

Open the intended space - Make sure you are in the space where the post was reported. Report review is scoped to one space, so choosing the right space keeps its rules and moderation context together.
Open Reports - Go to the space's administration area and select Reports. This item is available to the space owner and to customer-facing roles whose access includes report review.
Confirm the review view - Look for the New Reports and Resolved Reports tabs. If the page is still showing loading placeholders, wait for the report cards to appear before taking action.

If Reports is not available, do not try to review the case from an ordinary member view. Ask the space owner to confirm that your role should have access to report review.

Read The Full Case

Start with New Reports - Open New Reports and use the number beside the tab, such as New Reports (3), to understand how many pending cases remain. The count represents reports, not necessarily different posts.
Read the selected rule - Review the rule name and its description. This is the standard the member believed the post may have broken.
Check the User Note - If a User Note is present, read it for details that may not be obvious from the rule alone. Treat the note as context, not proof of intent or wrongdoing.
Examine the reported post - Read the post shown with the report card and consider the wording, purpose, and visible context before deciding. A report starts a review; it does not determine the outcome.

Read the rule, seeded note, and reported post together before choosing any outcome on the report card.

Several members can independently report the same post. When that happens, read each report's rule and note even if you have already examined the post. Each report is a separate case, and a larger count does not create an automatic verdict.

Record And Choose Your Decision

Add a Moderator Note when useful - Select Add note and enter a brief, factual explanation when the decision depends on context, several reports frame the issue differently, or another reviewer may need to understand your reasoning. Describe what you observed and which rule guided the choice.
Choose Approve - Select Approve on the report card when the concern has been reviewed and the post can remain. This resolves the report without treating the report itself as improper.
Choose Remove - Select Remove when your review concludes that action should be taken against the reported post because of the concern.
Choose Spam - Select Spam when the reported post is unwanted or disruptive spam. Like Remove, this is a decision against the content rather than a neutral closure of the report.

Choose only after you have read the report and post together. The action belongs to the report card, where the rule, notes, and exact outcomes remain visible as one case.

Verify The Resolved Case

Allow the decision to finish - Wait while Visual Space processes the action and the loading state clears. The card may not immediately move out of the current queue.
Reload when necessary - If the case still appears under New Reports, reload the page or leave and reopen the space's Reports area after the action has finished.
Open Resolved Reports - Select Resolved Reports and locate the same case. Confirm that the saved rule, post context, moderator note when provided, and chosen outcome agree with the decision you intended to record.
Continue with remaining reports - Return to New Reports and review any cases still pending. If another report refers to the same post, resolve that concern independently.

The task is complete when the case appears in Resolved Reports with the intended decision and any useful moderator note, and the pending count no longer includes that report after the view refreshes.

Correct An Earlier Decision

Resolved history remains reviewable. If a closer look changes your judgment, open the case in Resolved Reports, reassess the rule and post context, update the Moderator Note when the reason needs explanation, and choose the corrected outcome on the report card.

This changes the recorded decision for that report. Do not treat a changed report status as confirmation that previously removed content has been restored. Check the relevant content view separately if its current availability matters.

Troubleshooting

Reports is missing - Your current role may not expose the space's report-review area. Ask the space owner to verify your responsibilities and access.
New Reports is empty - The space may have no pending cases, or another authorized reviewer may already have resolved them. Check Resolved Reports for completed decisions.
Resolved Reports is empty - No reviewed cases may be available in the current space yet. Confirm that you opened the intended space and allow the page to finish loading.
The case does not move - Wait for processing to finish, then reload or reopen Reports. The queue may need a fresh load before it reflects the decision.
The post still shows a report indicator - Another independent report about the same post may still be pending. Open the remaining report count, read each concern, and resolve each case on its own merits.
