Bring a board, article, poll, or Canvas document into an activity meeting, check that participants can use it, and finish without confusing the shared feed with the saved document.
This flow requires an activity meeting. Direct-message calls use screen sharing when you need to present work. Before the session, make sure the intended document exists or that you have permission and app access to create it.

After a successful open, the picker closes and the app becomes a selectable feed. Starting from Grid normally opens Stage to give the workspace room.
Meeting attendance does not replace the document's sharing settings. If someone cannot edit, resolve access in the owning app instead of reopening the same meeting feed repeatedly.
Work Across Feeds
Select another participant, screen share, or app whenever the discussion changes. The previous live app stays available. Opening Live Apps and choosing a type marked active returns to that type's existing feed.
Whiteboards and Canvas provide their own document chooser in the meeting workspace. Check the title after changing documents, and ask others to confirm their selected document if you want everyone working on the same item. Do not assume a local file selection has moved every participant's view.
Use the app's own saving guidance before ending the session. A saved document can be reopened later through its app or Documents; a meeting feed is not itself a save confirmation.
End The Feed Deliberately
Closing an app affects everyone in the meeting, but does not delete the source document. One participant leaving can leave live apps running for the rest; when the meeting finishes, its remaining feeds close too.
When Something Is Missing
If Live Apps is unavailable, check whether you are in a direct-message call. If the item is missing, check the selected app family, location, and document access. If choosing an app returns to earlier work, its active marker means that feed is already running.
