Use a community's Events page when you already know whose schedule you need. Use public Events when you want to discover occasions across communities. Both lead to the event article, where you can read the details and decide whether to join.

Browse Across Communities

Public Events opens with featured events and All events cards. The featured carousel highlights events with strong community interest; use its arrows to browse the selection. Cards show the owning space as well as the invitation, so you can tell where an event belongs.

Search narrows the loaded collection by title, keywords, or space name. More cards load as you approach the end, and Load more events lets you continue explicitly. If loading fails, use the retry control without discarding the events already on screen. No search matches does not necessarily mean that no matching event exists in pages you have not loaded.

Switch to Month or Week when dates matter more than browsing. The public calendar loads more of the public collection as needed. Public calendars are for reading: open an event to inspect it, then use its owning community's calendar if you have permission to change its schedule.

Follow A Community's Schedule

A space, subspace, or activity Events page keeps the schedule close to its members. Use the activity sidebar to select the area you need, then browse Month, Week, or All events. Search here filters loaded titles and keywords.

Published events appear to the audience allowed into their area. Your own drafts have a separate view; other people's drafts are not part of your community browsing list.

An area's About page may show a small selection of events with strong confirmed or tentative interest. It is a preview, not a complete chronological agenda. Open the full Events page to investigate further.

Notice An Upcoming Occasion

Other surfaces help you return to Events while doing everyday work:

•
Hot Events in the main feed highlights a small selection of public events. View all events opens wider discovery.
•
A joined-space event indicator opens a reminder with a countdown and Event Details. Hover on desktop or tap the indicator to read it.
•
Search can find published events across spaces you have joined, subject to access.

The joined-space reminder presents an upcoming event, rather than every occasion in the space. Its attendance counts are a summary; open Event Details to read and respond. The upcoming indicator ends when that stored start time arrives. Use the calendar for the wider schedule, especially repeated sessions.

Keep Something For Later

Open an event's menu with a right-click or Control-click on desktop, or a long press on mobile. View Later keeps the event in your personal saved collection. It does not confirm attendance, create a reminder alarm, or change who can read the event.

See View Later for organizing saved items. To respond now, follow Find and follow events.

Common Questions

Why can I see a public event but not confirm attendance?

You need to sign in, join its space, and have access to its area before your attendance response can be saved.

Does public discovery include private events?

No. It shows published events from public areas. Use the appropriate community page for private events you can access.

Why does the About preview show fewer events than the calendar?

About highlights a small selection. Its purpose is to bring useful occasions to your attention, not reproduce the full schedule.

Where should I create an event while browsing public Events?

Choose New Event and select an eligible destination. You still need Coordinator access and event-management permission there. The event belongs to that community area.
