Turn a useful word or sentence from an article into personal practice, then return to the original passage when you want its context. Captures stay in your personal library rather than becoming part of a shared collection.

Turn a useful word or sentence from an article into personal practice, then return to the original passage when you want its context. Captures stay in your personal library rather than becoming part of a shared collection.

Make The Lexi Tool Available

•
Open account preferences - Go to Account settings → User preferences → Manage Tools Slim Bar.
•
Enable Lexi - Turn on the optional tool, then return to the article you want to read.
•
Open the Lexi panel - Keep it beside the article so you can see captured material and its translation fields.

The full Lexi app is available from Apps separately. Enabling the panel gives you the alongside-reading workflow used here.

Capture A Useful Passage

•
Select the text - Highlight a word, expression, or sentence in the article.
•
Choose Add to Lexi - The selection is saved to your personal inbox with its source article. A selection containing several sentences may be split into separate entries.
•
Open Articles in the panel - Find the captured text and check that it says what you intended to learn.

The capture has no generated translation. Until you supply an answer, it stays out of practice.

Complete And Practice The Entry

•
Add the translation - Enter the English meaning in the untranslated capture's field, then choose Add to practice.
•
Check the saved result - The row now displays the translation. If saving fails, correct or retry the entry before assuming it is ready.
•
Open Practice - Use the panel's personal practice view for a short session, or open Personal library for a larger study view.
•
Clear unnecessary restrictions - If the new material does not appear, check the selected challenge, learning focus, and flags. Sentence entries use the sentence reconstruction challenges.

For another language pair, edit the entry in Personal library and check its language codes. Your personal entries remain separate from any favorite collection you open later.

Return To The Original Meaning

Choose See article on the capture to reopen its source and highlight the saved text when it can be matched. Hovering a capture also emphasizes its matching passage in the article. Multiple source links can be available when an entry has been collected from more than one article.

Use that context to refine an uncertain translation through the personal entry editor. Editing an existing entry preserves its learning history.

Continue Where It Fits

Keep the compact panel for practice beside reading, or open the full app to organize material and review your progress. The panel does not run a second active quiz while the full app is open.

Learning from articles explains the personal-library boundary; Practice and review a session covers feedback and learning progress.
