Before You Curate
Sign in as the space owner for this walkthrough. Role-based Expo actions currently vary by content type, while the space owner is the reliable curator across the supported surfaces.
Choose work that is already published. Expo currently accepts published posts, articles, events, goals, and documents. Drafts are excluded, so their menus do not offer an Expo action.
Start in the space area that should own the curation decision. An activity-level item rolls up through its parent subspace and space, while unrelated activities and subspaces remain separate.
Add The Work To Expo

Open the published item - Go to the post, article, event, goal, or document you want visitors to notice. Confirm that it belongs to the intended space, subspace, or activity.

Open its content menu - Use the item menu on its normal content surface. For a post, right-click or long-press the post to open the menu.

Choose Add To Expo - Select the curation action and allow the menu to close.
•
Reopen the menu - Confirm that the same action now reads Remove From Expo. This menu change is the quickest check that the item is marked for Expo.
An eligible published item exposes Add To Expo in its source menu; opening the menu alone does not change the selection.
Verify The Showcase And Its Roll-Up

Open Expo - Use the Apps menu, or follow the Expo preview from the area's About page.

Find the item - Confirm that its title and preview appear in the document grid for the area where you added it.
•
Check the activity view - For work added from an activity, verify that it appears in that activity's Expo.
•
Move up to the subspace - Open the parent subspace's Expo. It includes work added directly to the subspace and work curated in activities beneath it.
•
Move up to the space - Open the space Expo and confirm the item appears there too. The space view gathers Expo work from the whole space hierarchy.
The roll-up changes where people can discover the item; it does not move or copy the original work. An unrelated activity or subspace should not gain the item merely because it belongs to the same space.
Confirm Title And Thumbnail Changes
Expo keeps its preview aligned with the source. Use content that you can safely edit if you want to check this behavior directly.

Change the source title - Make a small, recognizable title edit and wait for the save to complete.
•
Return to Expo - Confirm that the Expo item shows the revised title, then restore the original title if the edit was only a check.

Check an article image - On an editable article, add or replace its first summary image, then return to Expo and confirm the thumbnail changes. Removing the article's only summary image returns the Expo item to its fallback icon.
Posts and articles can supply Expo thumbnails from their first available image. Other supported items, and items without an available image, may use the Expo icon instead.
The settled showcase proves the seeded selections are present and contrasts a fallback Expo symbol with an image-backed article preview.
Remove The Item

Return to the source - Open the same item's content menu from its normal surface.
•
Choose Remove From Expo - Remove the curation marker and let the menu close.
•
Verify the menu state - Reopen the menu and confirm that it offers Add To Expo again.
•
Check Expo - Return to the relevant Expo view and confirm the item is gone. If it was curated from an activity, also check the parent subspace and space views; removal clears it from the roll-up.
The original post, article, event, goal, or document remains in place. Only its Expo showcase entry is removed.
If Something Does Not Match
•
The Expo action is missing - Confirm that you are the space owner, the item is published, and it is a supported post, article, event, goal, or document. Drafts do not expose the action. Role-based access can differ between content types, so retry with the space owner when verifying curation.

The menu has not changed - Close it, allow the update a moment to complete, and reopen the item menu before repeating the action.
•
The item appears at the wrong level - Return to the area where you curated it and follow the hierarchy upward. Activity items roll up to their parent subspace and space; they do not roll sideways into unrelated areas.
•
A thumbnail is missing - Confirm that the source is a post or article with an available image. Otherwise, the Expo icon is the expected fallback.
•
A deleted source still appears - Automatic cleanup is not guaranteed. If the Expo item menu offers Remove From Expo, use it to clear the stale showcase entry.
