Retrospectives give teams a focused space to reflect, turn feedback into action, and keep the conversation connected to their work.

Run A Team Retrospective

Guided board - Teams sort feedback into Went Well, To Improve, and Action Items, with prompts and counts that keep the conversation moving. The Retrospectives guide shows how to find or create a board.
Add feedback - Participants add and edit cards directly in any column. Each card shows its author, and only that author can save later text changes.
Shared updates - New and edited cards appear for everyone viewing the board without interrupting someone who is typing.
Lightweight reactions - Members with reaction permission can add emoji responses and see who reacted, making it easy to reinforce ideas without adding another card.
Participant view - The header shows who has joined the board, while reopened retrospectives preserve participants, cards, and reactions.

Create And Reopen Boards

Flexible entry points - People can create boards from Docs, the Retros explorer, or a meeting, then reopen them from their linked retrospective files.

Board access - Creating a board requires Retrospectives access, currently included with Coordinator. Only members with access to its space area can open or contribute.
Connected workspace - Boards stay linked to the space area, subspace, or activity where they began, so browsing and exit navigation return to the right place.
Linked notes - Each board includes a draft article for longer context and comments. Creating the board does not publish that article or create a post.
Clear feedback - Loading, empty, unavailable, and error states help people understand when a board or card cannot be opened or saved.

Meetings And Flexible Layouts

Meeting live app - Teams can create or reopen a retrospective on a meeting stage and use the same cards, participants, reactions, article, and comments.
Stable meeting view - Switching meeting layouts keeps the selected board visible, while choosing another retrospective loads it cleanly.
Responsive workspace - The three columns sit side by side on larger screens and stack into a scrollable board on smaller screens.

Current Boundaries

Fixed format - Boards use the same three columns and do not yet support custom columns or drag ordering.
Open sessions - Boards stay editable and do not yet include a formal close, guided voting phases, or export.
