Use save feedback to finish an editing session confidently, then reopen the scene and check the result. This is especially useful after importing a model, changing geometry, or painting a texture.

Use save feedback to finish an editing session confidently, then reopen the scene and check the result. This is especially useful after importing a model, changing geometry, or painting a texture.

Finish the Current Edit

•
Complete the gesture - Accept the transform, modeling operation, or paint stroke. A preview still being dragged is not the same as a completed scene change.
•
Watch the feedback - Let Saving or Uploading finish. Large geometry or texture work can take longer than moving an object.
•
Wait for Saved - Treat this as the checkpoint for continuing on another device or leaving the editor.

Paint autosaves in the current workspace, but both the Canvas source and its attached Poly texture must finish. If an attachment fails, the visible painted model can be ahead of the saved scene.

Handle a Pending Save

•
Read the message - Distinguish an upload still running from an offline, failed, or conflicting save.
•
Restore the connection - If offline, reconnect before trying to author more changes. Locally retained work has not become a remote save.
•
Retry saving - Open More and choose Retry saving. For a pending painted texture, use Ctrl+S or Command+S to save again, then wait for the result. Avoid adding more edits while the scene reports that it is blocked.
•
Resume retained work - If More offers Resume retained changes entries, choose the session you need. Open another session keeps those retained changes for recovery while opening separately.
•
Preserve unresolved work - If Needs attention or Review conflict remains, keep the original window and local browser data intact and report the scene name and visible message.

Do not assume reopening can force an older geometry edit onto a newer model. Compatible retained work can recover, but an edit whose required geometry has changed can remain in conflict. Starting another session does not resolve or discard that retained work.

Reopen and Check the Saved Scene

•
Return to the explorer - After Saved, leave the scene and open it again through Poly's explorer.
•
Inspect the important result - Check the object placement, geometry, material, or animation that you changed, rather than only checking that the scene title appears.
•
Let assets finish loading - Imported models and textures may need preparation before their final appearance is visible. Use the displayed retry action if preparation fails.

Your scene should contain the accepted edits. Personal viewport navigation and the previous session's History are not a saved version browser and should not be used as proof of what the scene contains.

See Saving and Working Together for concurrent editing, personal undo, and the meaning of each save state.
