Blueprints brings approachable sketching and lightweight part design into Visual Space. This first release establishes the essential journey from a blank file to a saved, reviewable model.

Files And Workspace

Blueprint files - Users can create Blueprints inside a space area, browse nearby folders, and open each design in its own focused workspace.
Protected access - Creating and saving requires Blueprints app access. Space membership and private-area permissions continue to control who can open each file.
Blank starting point - Every new Blueprint starts with a grid, origin, and reference planes instead of preloaded showcase geometry.
Responsive workspace - Desktop users get dedicated tool panels, while phones and narrow windows keep the same controls in a compact drawer.
Saved design state - Blueprints automatically preserves the title, sketch geometry, model features, history, drawing information, and review context for the next visit.

Sketching And Modeling

Precision setup - Users can work with visible units, precision, grid spacing, snapping, and reference geometry. Axes, planes, construction lines, and datum points keep sketches grounded.
Sketch tools - Users can add lines, rectangles, circles, arcs, points, and construction geometry to build a part from scratch.
Direct editing - Selected sketch elements expose an edit handle and can be moved, copied, cut, pasted, or duplicated with Alt or Option drag.
Dimensions and constraints - Users can dimension selected geometry and apply the supported horizontal constraint while seeing clear solver feedback and unsupported states.
Local history - Undo and redo restore sketch geometry, solid previews, and selection state through buttons or standard keyboard shortcuts.
Solid previews - Closed rectangles and circles can become extruded preview bodies. Users can edit the feature value and see the model, drawing, and history update together.
3D model view - Preview bodies appear in a dedicated 3D view with shaded edges, selection outlines, reference guides, and a movable camera.

Inspection And Drawings

Model tree - Users can move through references, sketches, dimensions, and features from one structure. Bodies, drawings, and history remain close by.
Focused inspection - The inspector follows the current selection and shows useful coordinates, lengths, radii, bounds, and estimated preview volume in document units.

Clear diagnostics - Open profiles, unsupported features, constraint problems, invalid preview sizes, and other design warnings remain visible during review.
Model-linked sheet - A valid preview body creates a drawing sheet with standard views, dimensions, notes, revision details, and a title block.

SVG drawing export - Users can save the current drawing sheet as an SVG file when their device supports local file saving.

Review And Collaboration

Shared discussion - Each Blueprint connects to its Visual Space document and comments, keeping design discussion beside the model.
Live presence - Collaborators viewing the same file can see who is present along with each person's active tool and selection context.
Updated shared files - When a collaborator saves a newer version, other viewers reload the latest complete design after pending local work finishes.
Editable proposals - Once suitable geometry exists, users can inspect a locally prepared proposal and its estimated credits before inserting it as editable sketch geometry.
Reversible suggestions - Accepted proposal geometry joins normal history, so users can remove it with undo and bring it back with redo.

Current Limits

CAD-lite scope - Blueprints is designed for approachable part concepts and technical review. It does not yet offer the reliability expected from professional manufacturing CAD.
Limited geometry - Solid bodies and measurements are previews. Constraints provide helpful diagnostics but do not fully recalculate geometry.
Export limits - SVG drawing sheets are the only available export. PDF, PNG, manufacturing CAD, and 3D model exports are not available yet.
Assembly preview - Existing assembly information can be reviewed, but component placement, mating, motion playback, and parts-list export are not authoring tools yet.
No meeting mode - Blueprints cannot yet be opened as a meeting activity.
