Frames brings a timeline-based video workspace into Visual Space for assembling clips, captions, audio, and review notes. This first release establishes the editing journey while saving, collaboration, and export remain limited.

Start And Open Projects

Space project browser - The Frames guide shows how users open Frames from the apps menu, browse projects in the current space area, and move through folders and activities.
Create and open - Eligible space coordinators can create a project in the current area and enter its editing workspace immediately.
Direct project access - Each Frames project has its own address, so opening a project link returns users to the right workspace.
Meeting workspace - Activity meetings can open an existing Frames project or create an eligible new one for the meeting stage.

Build A Timeline

Multi-track editing - Users can arrange video, B-roll, audio, captions, and titles on a clear timeline. Overlays and adjustments have dedicated tracks too.
Essential clip edits - Users can select one clip or a range. They can trim, move, duplicate, or delete it. Split, nudge, and ripple-delete are also available.
Familiar shortcuts - Cut, copy, paste, undo, and redo work across the timeline. Option or Alt dragging creates a movable copy.
Precise navigation - Users can scrub by frame, jump to selected clips or markers, scroll the timeline, and zoom around the playhead.
Context actions - Right-click menus on desktop and long-press menus on mobile keep common commands close to the selected clips.

Preview And Refine

Preview controls - Users can play, pause, scrub, adjust local volume, loop playback, and switch between Fit and Fill when preview media is ready.
Clear media states - The preview distinguishes empty, loading, missing, unsupported, and poster-error states instead of leaving users with an unexplained blank screen.
Focused inspector - Clip controls adapt to the current selection. They cover timing, opacity, speed, and fit. Audio, fades, text, captions, and adjustments are also available.
Captions and titles - Users can create and edit caption or title clips. Controls cover copy, speaker labels, placement, style, templates, and caption burn-in.
Local audio controls - Users can mute tracks or clips, adjust clip volume and fades, and browse voice, music, and effects groups.
Asset awareness - Referenced media can be searched and filtered, added near the playhead, and checked for usage or missing-file warnings.

Review And Flexible Access

Timestamp review - Users can add local markers and timestamp comments, filter them by status, and jump from feedback to the matching timeline frame.
Workspace guidance - View, Settings, History, Versions, and Help explain the current draft. They also cover display choices, recent actions, shortcuts, and recovery guidance.
Mobile workspace - Compact tool and panel rows keep the editor accessible on smaller screens. Long press replaces desktop right-click actions.
Meeting continuity - The selected project stays identified across meeting stage views, and ordinary meeting layout changes preserve the local editor session.

Current Limits

Session-only edits - Project files are created, but editing work resets after leaving or refreshing. This includes timeline content, assets, settings, comments, history, and versions.
Limited media input - Users can try the supplied Visual Space media reference, but file picking, uploads, replacement, processing, and waveform decoding are not available yet.
Local review only - Timeline edits, playback, markers, and comments do not synchronize with other meeting participants or collaborators.
Export preview only - Export presets and job states are previews. Frames cannot yet render, publish, download, retry, or resume an export.
Advanced tools pending - Automatic transcription, audio enhancement, project notes, saved versions, and several dedicated tool gestures are not available yet.
