Give a Medal when another member has made a meaningful contribution that deserves lasting recognition from a space. This walkthrough takes you from choosing the recipient and issuing space to verifying that the Medal was accepted.

Rewards helps people recognize useful work without making every kind of appreciation feel the same. Use an Award for a quick, visible response to a contribution. Use a Medal when a person's lasting impact deserves formal recognition from a space.

Medals are Visual Space's rare form of recognition for contributions that deserve to be remembered. A Medal is given on behalf of a space, carries a personal reason, and becomes a lasting certificate for the recipient. For the broader recognition picture, including everyday Awards, start with [Rewards](rewards.md).

Rewards helps people choose the right kind of recognition: illustrated Awards for everyday contributions, or rare Medals for lasting impact recognized by a space. Start with the full overview, explore either recognition type, or follow a complete giving and review journey.

Awards turn a quick thank-you into illustrated, visible recognition. Each Award carries a style, a quantity, and the identity of the person who gave it, so appreciation stays connected to the contribution that inspired it. Unlike a reaction, an Award uses part of your spendable balance. That makes it useful when a post, idea, message, or live contribution deserves a stronger signal. Awards are designed for everyday appreciation; [Medals](medals.md) are the rarer, lasting form of recognition.

Use this guide to send a clear, private concern about a post or loaded article for review. Reporting asks someone with the right space access to examine the content against a selected rule. **It does not automatically hide or remove the content.**

Reports gives members a careful way to flag content that may break Visual Space rules or the expectations of the current space. The concern stays connected to its space and its content so an authorized moderator can review what happened in context.

Reporting helps members raise a rule concern without having to decide the outcome themselves. A report is a **private request for review**, not a public accusation and not an automatic verdict against the content or its author.

Reports helps members raise rule concerns privately and gives authorized space reviewers a focused way to decide what should happen next. Use this manual to understand the reporting boundary, submit a useful concern, or review reported posts in context.

This walkthrough takes a reported post from the new queue to a verified decision in resolved history. Use it when you are responsible for reviewing reports in a particular space and want to preserve a clear record for other authorized reviewers.
